Licenciada em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas – Variante Francês e Inglês, com especializações nos Ramos Científico e Educacional (Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto, 2001).

Mestre em Mediação da Cultura Americana (Universidade de East Anglia, 2003). Tese: “Information Manipulation and Hyperreality – Case Studies of Cultural Wars in the American 1980s”. É uma tese sobre gestão de informação, em específico sobre a media(tiza)ção das políticas de financiamento artístico na transição da década de 1960-70 para a década de 1980-90, nos E.U.A.

Doutoranda em Mediação da Cultura Europeia (Universidade de Sussex). Dissertação: “European Union’s ‘glocal’ reconstruction through the lenses of Radical Democracy and Third Way politics. A post-structuralist, social semiotic analysis of discourses on European citizenship and identity in the British, French and Portuguese traditional and new media sphere, from 1999 to 2019”. É uma dissertação sobre a (re)construção da cidadania e da identidade europeia, com base na análise de discursos de líderes de opinião envolvidos/as na mediação de aspetos politico-jurídicos, socioeconómicos e culturais de maior destaque.

Investigadora-colaboradora do CITCEM, no Grupo Informação, Comunicação e Cultura Digital da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto.

Professora e formadora de Comunicação, Línguas e Mediação Cultural (Colégio Luso Internacional – Training Academy; Mota & Engil; Swiss Dental Services; Universidade Fernando Pessoa; Universidade Lusófona do Porto; Faculdades de Engenharia, Letras e Polo Tecnológico da Universidade do Porto).

Foi estagiária e colaboradora na produção e edição de conteúdos de comunicação na Comissão Europeia – DG Desenvolvimento e Cooperação.

Presidente fundadora da ONG NECI-Portugal/Rede Europeia de Cidadania e Identidade.
