Mestre em História da Arte na área de património e restauro, com uma tese sobre a arquitetura das quintas do Douro, e doutorada em Museologia, tendo por tema de investigação a paisagem classificada do Douro e os desafios da gestão deste património.
É coordenadora dos Serviços de Museologia do Museu do Douro, desde 2006, e investigadora do CITCEM – FLUP. Membro da direção do ICOMOS-PT.
Publicou vários livros e artigos sobre o património duriense e sobre a sua história, centrando as suas investigações no património arquitetónico e na paisagem rural, em particular no património associado à vitivinicultura. Integrou a equipa responsável pela candidatura a Património Mundial do Alto Douro Vinhateiro.

She has a Master’s degree in Art History in the area of heritage and restoration, with a thesis on the architecture of the Douro estates, and a PhD in Museology, whose research topic is the classified landscape of the Douro and the challenges of managing this heritage.
She is coordinator of the Museology Services of the Douro Museum, since 2006, and researcher at CITCEM – FLUP. Member of the Board of Directors of ICOMOS-PT.
He has published several books and articles on Douro heritage and its history, focusing his research on architectural heritage and rural landscape, particularly the heritage associated with winemaking. He was part of the team responsible for the candidacy of the Alto Douro Wine Region as a World Heritage Site.
