Foi professora de Psicologia no âmbito da Formação de Professores e responsável por essa área científica na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. Possui mestrado e doutoramento em Psicologia. Desde 2005 leciona Metodologia de Investigação a alunos de Licenciatura, Mestrado e Doutoramento e Psicologia Cognitiva a alunos de Mestrado. Tem participado em projetos de investigação e tem publicado e apresentado os resultados da sua investigação em encontros científicos nacionais e internacionais. Integra equipas de investigação nas seguintes áreas: (1) literacia da informação (2) cenografia dos telejornais portugueses (3) inclusão e a integração digitais e (4) utilização das TIC pelo cidadão sénior. É membro da Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses, da American Psychological Association e da American Psychological Society. As principais áreas de interesse em investigação são a Psicologia Cognitiva, particularmente as emoções e sua interação com a cognição.

She was a professor of Psychology in the context of Teacher Training and responsible for this scientific area at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. He holds a Master’s and a PhD in Psychology. Since 2005 he has been teaching Research Methodology to BSc, MSc and PhD students and Cognitive Psychology to MSc students. She has participated in research projects and has published and presented the results of her research in national and international scientific meetings. She is part of research teams in the following areas: (1) information literacy (2) Portuguese television news scenography (3) digital inclusion and integration and (4) use of ICT by senior citizens. He is a member of the Portuguese Psychologists Order, the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. The main areas of research interest are cognitive psychology, particularly emotions and their interaction with cognition.
