Doutora em História Social pela PUC-São Paulo (2004), com estágio pós-doutoral em História Social pela Universidade do Porto-Portugal (2010-2011) e Mestre em História pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (1995). Professora Titular-pleno da Universidade do Estado da Bahia-UNEB, onde leciona na Graduação do Curso de História e integra o quadro permanente de professores do Mestrado em História Regional e Local no Campus V – Santo Antônio de Jesus, onde exerce a função de Coordenadora, e do Programa de Pós-graduação em Ensino de História (PROFHISTÓRIA). Integra o quadro de investigadora colaboradora do Centro de Investigação Transdisciplinar Cultura, Espaço, Memória (CITCEM) da Universidade do Porto e do Grupo de Pesquisa REDES REGIONAIS E LOCAIS NA HISTÓRIA (UNEB) e do Grupo de Trabalho História do Atlântico e Diáspora Africana (ANPUH-Seção Bahia). Tem experiência nos campos do ensino e da pesquisa em história, educação, patrimônio artístico-cultural, com especialidade em História da Bahia e do Brasil. A principal atuação no campo do conhecimento histórico é sobre temas da História Política, Social e Cultural da Bahia, Biografia e trajetórias de populações afro-brasileiras, História institucional, História do Trabalho e da Organização sócio-política, cultural e educacional da classe trabalhadora, da literatura e cidade. Tem publicado diversos artigos na imprensa, revistas e coletâneas, participado como debatedora, conferencista, palestrante em mesas redondas, seminários, palestras, congressos. Publicou os livros “A Arte de ter um Ofício: Liceu de Artes e Ofícios da Baia – 1872-1996”, em que resgata a história institucional nos diferentes contextos sócio-políticos e culturais com foco nos universos do trabalho, da educação e da cultura; e “Manuel Querino entre Letras e Lutas – Bahia: 1851-1923”, em que discute, a partir de uma biografia, transformações sócio-políticas e culturais no mundo do trabalho urbano.

Full professor at the Universidade do Estado da Bahia-UNEB, where she teaches undergraduate History and is a permanent member of the Masters in Regional and Local History at Campus V – Santo Antônio de Jesus, where she is the coordinator, and of the Postgraduate Program in History Teaching (PROFHISTÓRIA). She is a collaborating researcher at the Transdisciplinary Research Center Culture, Space, Memory (CITCEM) at the University of Porto and at the Research Group REGIONAL AND LOCAL NETWORKS IN HISTORY (UNEB) and at the Working Group of Atlantic History and African Diaspora (ANPUH-Bahia Section). He has experience in the fields of teaching and research in history, education, and cultural-artistic heritage, with a specialty in the History of Bahia and Brazil. The main performance in the field of historical knowledge is on themes of Political, Social and Cultural History of Bahia, Biography and trajectories of Afro-Brazilian populations, Institutional History, History of Work and the socio-political, cultural and educational organization of the working class, literature and the city. She has published several articles in the press, magazines, and collections, and has participated as a debater, lecturer, and speaker in round tables, seminars, lectures, and congresses. He has published the books “A Arte de ter um Ofício: Liceu de Artes e Ofícios da Bahia – 1872-1996”, in which he recovers the institutional history in different socio-political and cultural contexts with a focus on the universes of labor, education, and culture; and “Manuel Querino entre Letras e Lutas – Bahia: 1851-1923”, in which he discusses, from a biography, socio-political and cultural transformations in the world of urban labor.
