Ana Teresa Cancela Pires é licenciada e mestre em História da Arte – Universidade do Porto – Flup. Concluiu na Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto, o grau de Licenciatura em Piano. Exerceu atividade de concertista, dando preferência à interpretação da música contemporânea, e de docente de piano. Dedica-se à investigação na área dos Estudos Transdisciplinares História da Arte/História da Música e Práticas Artísticas Contemporâneas. É investigadora integrada do Centro de Investigação Transdisciplinar Cultura, Espaço e Memória, sediado na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto – CITCEM e atualmente frequenta o Doutoramento em Estudos do Património da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto com a investigação em curso: Artes Sonoras na Performance Art em Portugal: sinergias, práticas e arquivo

Ana Teresa Cancela Pires has a degree and a master in History of Art – University of Porto – Flup. He graduated from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (Oporto) with a degree in Piano Performance. He has worked as a concert pianist, giving preference to the interpretation of contemporary music, and as a piano teacher. He is dedicated to research in the area of Transdisciplinary Studies Art History/Music History and Contemporary Artistic Practices. She is an integrated researcher at the Transdisciplinary Research Center Culture, Space and Memory, based at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto – CITCEM and is currently attending the PhD in Heritage Studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto with the ongoing research Sound Arts in Performance Art in Portugal: synergies, practices and archive
