Filomena Barros, professor at the History Department of the University of Évora, passed away suddenly on March 7, 2021. In his memory, along with a scientific congress to be held on June 2 and 3, 2022 at the Anf. 131 from Colégio do Espírito Santo (University of Évora), an “open day” is being prepared, which will take place on June 4 at the Salão Nobre do Teatro Garcia de Resende, in Évora, (10am – 4pm). This “open day” is intended for all interested parties to celebrate Filomena’s memory with whatever interventions they wish, be they scientific, artistic, civic, or others. We hope that this will be a space and a time of conviviality for exchanging experiences and ideas, as Filomena herself likes it. There will also be room for an informal, light lunch, and participants are invited to bring some food or delicacies they would like to share, in his honor.
