As part of the Celebration of World Oceans Day, and in conjunction with the CoopMar Network Week (Transoceanic Cooperation. Public Policies and Iberoamerican Sociocultural Community), a network funded by CYTED, of which CITCEM is an integral member, the meeting Digital Oceans: Research, Technology and Communication will take place on June 8, starting at 9am, at the Casa dos Livros.

This meeting aims to promote reflection on the social, economic, and cultural relationship of the sea with coastal communities, to reflect on innovative ways to preserve and disseminate heritage, and to demonstrate the importance of digital and virtual technologies for the Communication of Cultural Heritage directly or indirectly related to the Oceans and port communities.
