The colloquium“I am a day in a dark night: Agostinho Neto’s centenary (1922-2022)”, will take place on September 9th at FLUP and on September 10th at Museu Militar do Porto.

This international meeting will celebrate the centennial of the first president of the Republic of Angola, as well as the poetic work and political struggle of the Angolan doctor.

The colloquium, which is supported by CITCEM, will be attended by the Ambassador of Angola, Dr. Carlos Alberto Fonseca, and Professors Roberto Vecchi (Università di Bologna), Pires Laranjeira (University of Coimbra) and Rita Chaves (University of São Paulo). Dr. Pacheco Pereira will be in charge of the closing session.

Admission is free and requires no prior registration.
