Research in Medieval Studies 2020. Production and Commerce in Europe, 1100-1550
RiMS – Research in Medieval Studies pretende dar a conhecer os mais recentes avanços científicos e debater abordagens inovadoras no medievalismo a nível internacional.
A primeira sessão desta iniciativa (26 e 27 de novembro) será subordinada às dinâmicas entre a produção e o comércio. Factores como o avanço técnico e tecnológico ou o apuramento do sector produtivo no desenvolvimento de redes mercantis, de mercados económicos ou de redes comerciais serão analisados para várias regiões da Europa, numa cronologia alargada.
Production and Commerce in Europe, 1100-1550 tem como organizador convidado Carsten Jahnke (Copenhaga) e como keynote Bas van Bavel (Utreque). A participação, via zoom, é livre e não carece de inscrição.

RiMS – Research in Medieval Studies aims to raise awareness of the latest scientific advances and discuss innovative approaches to medievalism at the international level.
The first meeting (26 and 27 November) will discuss the linkage between production and trade across several European regions over an extended timeline. Factors such as technical and technological innovation, and advances in the productive sector will come under analysis as they connected with the development of merchant and commercial networks, and of economic markets.
Production and Commerce in Europe, 1100-1550 features Carsten Jahnke (Copenhagen) as guest convener and Bas van Bavel (Utrecht) as keynote speaker. Participation, via zoom, is free and does not require registration.

Research in Medieval Studies 2020. Production and Commerce in Europe, 1100-1550
RiMS – Research in Medieval Studies aims to present the latest scientific advances and discuss innovative approaches in medievalism at the international level.
The first session of this initiative (November 26 and 27) will be on the dynamics between production and commerce. Factors such as technical and technological advancement or the sharpening of the production sector in the development of mercantile networks, economic markets, or trade networks will be analyzed for various regions of Europe in an extended chronology.
